• Parker County Commissioners Court heard a report from George Williford of First Southwest regarding financing for future county transportation projects. Commissioners Court has an Aug. 10th to Aug. 22nd window to consider ordering a bond election. If called, the bond’s top priority would be to fund the completion of the Ric Williamson Memorial Highway, which would extend it FM 51 to US 180 at Centerpoint Road. A new Interchange at I-20 and Centerpoint will soon be under construction. It was funded through the 2008, $80 million transportation bond. Parker County was able to leverage approximately an additional $75 million from the initial $80 million bond.
