SUMMARY OF COMMISSIONERS COURT MEETING - AUGUST 8, 2016

• Parker County Commissioners Court heard from Elections Administrator Don Markum in regards to the Nov. 8 general election the court formally ordered. Early voting begins on Oct. 24, 2016.

• Approved all tax resale deeds.

• Approved all purchasing items.

• Heard presentation on the 2017 preliminary Parker County Appraisal District Budget.

• Heard presentation for a deferred compensation plan.

• Heard presentation from Weatherford Main St. Director, Debra Wakeland.

• Approved all plats.

• Approved offices to be considered by planning consultants for use in the downtown annex building.

• Approved application by Parker County Special Utility District to lay a water line near Tidwell Road in Precinct 3.

• Approved contract supplement for Copiers and Multifunctional Devices with Documation, Inc.

• Approved the FY 2017 Vine agreement.

• Approved order for the disposition by cremation of a pauper and authorize payment of $671 to The Major’s Funeral Home for disposition of the remains of an indigent person.

• Approved an interlocal agreement with the City of Willow Park for road repairs by Precinct 4 crews.

• Reappointed Clead Cheek to Pecan Valley Board of Trustees.

• Approved placement of a seismometer through TexNet on the County Farm.

• Waived 10 day job posting for Court Clerk in JP 3.

• Accepted into the Minutes the executed contract with Nextlink for additional bandwidth.

• Heard monthly report on traffic counter at RWMH and I-20 for the month of July.

• Heard update on transportation planning.

• Hired counsel for the Volkswagen Civil Law Enforcement Action Claim.

• Authorized Purchasing to sell 2 mobile home structures at 320 Center Point Road in auction.
