Commissioners Court Recognition of Building and Grounds and Donna Tillman and Terri Smith for Christmas Display

   Commissioners Court interviewed three candidates for the vacant Precinct 1 Constable office at Tuesday’s regular meeting.

   Candidates interviewed were George McNutt, Steve Decento and Ray Jones.

   County Judge Mark Riley said the court will conduct a second round of interviews with the applicants at the first meeting in January, slated for Jan. 8, 2018.

   Precinct 1 Deputy Constable Steve Decento is currently in charge of the office’s operations.

   In other action the court:

  • Approved purchase of two new trucks for Precinct 2 for the price of one through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s Texas Emissions Reduction Plan.
  • Approved all plat items.
  • Recognized the county’s Building and Grounds Department along with the Donna Tillman and Terri Smith for work done on the County Christmas display.
  • Approved agreement with NCTCOG for an emergency services communication tower at the County Farm.
  • Approved beginning the abandonment process for a portion of an old county road located on East Bankhead Hwy in Precinct 4 and for an encroachment on George Court located in Precinct 1.
  • Accepted into the minutes a continuing education transcript for the Tax Assessor Collector, ESD 9’s 2016 Annual Financial Report, Contract with City of Fort Worth for Hazardous Materials, Contract with City of Weatherford for I-20 Service Road and the end of term inventory for Constable 1.
  • Approved agreement with Freese and Nichols for engineering coordination with TxDOT for the I-20/Center Point Road Project.
