Parker County Commissioners Court discussed the relocation and replacement of the Courthouse chiller (cooling unit) from the third floor to county property located off of Spring Street, north of the Courthouse, at their Monday, June 11, 2018 regular meeting.

Kamatsu Architect Charlie Kearns told the court the chiller will work more efficiently if it is located outside of the building.

Riley said the actual location of the new chiller must be put in an area that doesn’t eliminate use of the county’s parking lots east of York St. to not interfere with Peach Festival and other activities that take place in the area.

Commissioners approved the change order for design and location of a new chiller, located off site in the amount of $49,850.
