Transportation Workshop

On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, the County will be hosting a transportation workshop to be held at New River Fellowship, 3252 Interstate 20 Frontage Road in Hudson Oaks from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.  The public may attend this meeting, but no questions or comments will be taken from the floor.

The focus will be on planning for future growth with regards to critical transportation needs as well as increasing the capacity of Interstate 20 by accelerating the current 15-year timeline.

Cities in Parker County along with the County will be prepared as a united front and a single voice to work together with North Central Texas Council of Governments and Texas Department of Transportation to secure needed funds.

In addition, representatives of Parker County Independent School Districts will be in attendance to discuss improving communication and working together regarding school placement and infrastructure needs.

County Judge Pat Deen states, “This collaborative effort brings together important stakeholders that can help identify the critical transportation needs of Parker County.   As one unified voice, we will work together to create a better future for our citizens and community.”

Attending the meeting will be County Judge Pat Deen, city mayors and managers, school superintendents, and representatives from North Central Texas Council of Government and Texas Department of Transportation.
