SKYWARN TRAINING CLASS OFFERED FEBRUARY 29TH

In partnership with the Parker County Office of Emergency Management, the National Weather Service will be offering a free SKYWARN (severe weather) class on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 11 a.m.  The program will be held at Weatherford College Campus – Mince Auditorium (on the north end of the parking lot) located at 225 College Park Drive in Weatherford. 

SKYWARN is a volunteer program with between 350,000 and 400,000 trained severe weather spotters. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service.
