From Texas Neighborhood Services...
On Thursday April 23. 2020 the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs approved contracts for Texas Neighborhood Services to provide additional assistance to individuals and families impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown. These additional contracts came in form of additional utility assistance and emergency funding for helping Texans make it through the Crisis. These funds are for individuals and families impacted which have not been served by other funds from Texas Neighborhood Services this year. With hours of receiving the contract awards, TNS Executive Director Brad Manning was in contact with Parker County Judge Pat Deen who immediately offered any assistance he could to make the citizens of Parker County aware of this additional money. The amount of funding for emergency assistance in Parker County is $160,000 for Utility Assistance and $65,000 for Emergency Assistance . Texas Neighborhood Services is very grateful to Judge Deen and his staff for their assistance in broadcasting the additional funding.
