Parker County continues to experience significant population growth, ranking as the 6th fastest-growing county in the United States. As a result of this rapid growth, there is increasing pressure on the existing transportation system. To address these challenges, Parker County Commissioners and County staff are actively working on the 2023 transportation improvements program. This program involves important partnerships with NCTCOG (North Central Texas Council of Governments) and TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) to enhance IH-20, FM 730, FM 1187, and several intersection projects. Additionally, it includes improvements to both City and County roadways, with the goal of enhancing safety and mobility throughout the County.
